Work At Home

work at home

Like many Inside919er's you're a work at home officionado, running your small business from a home office, and are wary of many of the schemes and scams out there offering lots of $$$ dollars per day if you simply, "sign up before it's too late"!

Work At Home Schemes & Scams

Work-at-home scams thrive on economic trouble. According to a USA Today article, Work At Home Job Scams, "While some work-at-home offers, such as home-based customer service agents, can be legitimate, the FTC and consumer advocates say most that promise generous profits from the comfort of home are not. Complaints to the FTC about work-at-home scams are increasing faster than fraud complaints overall, up from 4,004 in 2006 to 7,955 in 2007" (sorry it's dated, but it's still relevant).

Again, there are genuine & legitimate work from home opportunities to be had. However, one must be wise, prudent, and do your research before jumping in, or plopping down a lot of cash to "opt-in".

Affiliate Marketing was on the list, but in North Carolina, current laws severely hamper this type of work. There are exceptions, however, one of those is internet marketing via ClickBank. They work with affiliates that live in NC and pay the required NC taxes should your site sell any products offered. Here's an example Work At Home website that offers several WAH Opportunities.

Do you know of any lucrative work from home opportunities that I may have missed? Please comment to let me know. Thanks.
